Hummingbird gardens

After gardening at home and at school as the Garden Education Coordinator at the Weinstein JCC, Owner Amanda Montgomery decided to take the leap and launch Hummingbird Gardens (HBG) in order to grow great herbs and edibles at home on the half acre she shares with her husband Michael, two cats (Desmond & Lyric), and most recently four Plymouth Rock hens (Trudy, Mo, Leslie Knope, and Sargent Pepper).

By employing growing practices rooted in respect and love for the land, we are creating a place that will both excite and inspire chefs, small grocers, bakers, food truckers, and home cooks. Here you'll find lots of herbs; many of which you won't find elsewhere along with a tasty selection of fruits and vegetables like mulberries and malabar spinach

The garden is in its first year of business and we're excited to welcome the community to this space. We've worked really hard and hope to host groups for educational  and recreational opportunities as 2016 progresses!
